He’s back (The man behind the mask) by Alice Cooper

In October of 1986 Alice Cooper came out with a song called “He’s back (The man behind the mask). It was the main song for the movie Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. This song was also on his album on “Constrictor.”

I first heard the song in the Night Flight’s Halloween playlist a couple of years. I was caI have to admit that I haven’t watched all of the Friday the 13th movies. However I feel like this is the year for me to catch up on the series. Anyways back to the song:

This song is played throughout the movie and during the end of the credits. In addition to this song two other Alice Cooper songs are played in this movie. “Teenage Frankenstein” and “Hard Rock Summer.”

He’s back (the man behind the mask) is a bit different than other Alice Cooper songs. I think this song would mostly like be played at a dance club then a rock club. It has a good danceable beat to it than a rocker edge.

There was also a music video made for this song that was directed by Jeffrey Abelson. The song has clips of the movie being played at a midnight showing of Jason live. It goes back and forth to Alice Cooper performing the song and Jason Voorhees (acted by C.J. Graham) terrorizing a bunch of teens that are at the movie.

I definitely recommend this song for your Halloween playlist. Ever since I heard this song it has been on a regular rotation on my music playlist. I enjoy listening to this song when I am driving somewhere far. What songs have been on your Halloween list? Comment below!

Until next time!

  1. yes!! “and he’s out tonight! and he’s watchin’ you! and he knows your house!” I love this song, and how they incorporate a little bit of the original soundtrack in it. it’s so 80s and awesome! thank you for blogging this! =)
