Hello everyone,

Growing up I always had a difficult time trying to make friends because I was always in my own little world and had a very active imagination. For example when I was six I wanted to be a rodeo clown judge who would take care of justice and crime! My robe would be like a mood ring and change colors depending on my mood. And during the summer months  I would go off and be part of a clown who would dress up as a hilarious clown in rodeo gear.

Flash to some years later  to now and I  realized that I don’t have a lot of trouble making friends or fitting in because I came to terms that I like my eccentric taste in things and I don’t have to change that for anyone else who is not a fan of them. I am coining this as “being eccentric is the new cool.” The only person you should want to impress is yourself. I feel like a lot of people have been through some tough times so why not celebrate the person that you are instead of hiding or changing yourself?

Be who you want to be! If you want to be a superhero that dresses up like Mr. Furley from Three’s Company then I say go for it!   There is no shame in being eccentric!
