Bumble Bee and I are totally relatable this week!
Cookie Monster you are this week’s man of the moment!
Today’s movie of the day is “Phantom of the Paradise” directed by Brian De Palma.
William Finley plays Winslow a composer who by luck catches the attention of a music producer named Swan. Swan feels that Winslow’s music is a perfect fit for his new concert hall: “the Paradise.” Swan holds auditions for a female singer and comes across a singer named Phoenix (played by Jessica Harper) which becomes both Winslow and Swan’s love interest.
While in jail Winslow goes thru some mess up experiments like getting his teeth removed and metal teeth.
I don’t want to give too much away about this movie. Although what attracted me most to this movie was the amazing soundtrack! After you watch it the soundtrack lingers in your mind!
I definitely recommend this movie!
Today’s movie of the day is RAW (2016) directed by Julia Ducournau
It is about a young lady name Justine and who was been raised in a very shelter life by her parents naturally wants to follow in her parents and her older sister’s footsteps and goes to veterinary school.
Justine has been raised as a strict vegetarian and is forced by her older sister to eat raw meat during one of the school’s harsh initiations for incoming freshmen.
After she is force to devour the piece of meat she begins an carnivorous quench for this new food item to her diet. She quickly develops a palette for human flesh and does everything she can to extinguish that desire, and tries to go cold turkey.
However it doesn’t matter what she does to deny herself from eating human flesh her desire for it is stronger that her will power. Her secret desire in eating humans also brings out new feelings of lust and also her sex drive that she never experience before.
This movie was quite an interesting one to watch. I wasn’t expecting much from the RAW but I was quickly drawn in by the interesting plot and cinematography.
This movie will definitely will leave a lingering feeling over you watched it. I highly recommend this as a must watch!
